'Ibinabo should resign as AGN president because of political appointment'- Clarion Chukwurah

Actress Clarion Chukwurah has called on the current President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria(AGN) Ibinabo Fiberisima, to resign from office as she has been appointed into a political office by President Jonathan. Ibinabo apointed by President Jonathan on the board of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) on February 26th.

In a two-page statement she released titled,Ibinabo and the AGN visit to President GEJ: Setting The Record Straight,Clarion Chukwurah said since Ibinabo has received the Federal Government's appointment, it is expected of her to vacate office as AGN President and face her new appointment, as Onyeka Onwenu and Kanayo O Kanayo her predecessors did. "The AGN was not established as a platform to canvass for political appointments or pursue selfish interests. Ms Onyeka Onwenu and Mr Kanayo O. Kanayo listed as examples in her address, became card carrying members of PDP and pursued the realization of PDP’s political goals to obtain their appointments. Ms Ibinabo Fiberisima should resign as AGN president for her brazen use of a body created to serve the creative interests of a group, to gain political appointment while in office.

I enjoin her to follow the respectable road of her named predecessors, by joining the PDP and testing the real value of her self-earned popularity as an actress for political appointment,” she said.She also expressed her displeasure at Ibinabo taking some actors to the Presidential Villa, an act she saw as going to literally begging for crumbs

"While it is not surprising that Ibinabo Fiberisima will display such a lack of knowledge of what advances screen actors professionally in the developed world, since she has not functioned consistently as an actor, and has less than 10 titles to her credit in a career spanning from the late 80s, it is however surprising that the established actors within her entourage watched in compliance, the denigration of the integrity of Nigerian screen actors, as she read her requests literally begging for crumbs from the president’s table,” said Chukwurah

Ibadan based prophet, Wale Olagunji of Divine Seed of God Chapel Ministry revealed that he hasn't taken his bath in 13 years because it was God's instruction.He said he was also instructed to separate from his wife and claims though he doesn't have his bath,he does not smell and looks neater than those who bathe regularly...He told City People "Yes, it is 13years now to be precise. Early 200 the Lord told me to stop taking my bath, separate myself from my wife and that I should stop taking all those soft drinks and wines. And since then, diligently, I have observed all those things. Whoever God wants to use for certain purposes on earth, there is a serious price attached to that calling. So I believe that is the price I am paying. As I am talking to you now, I have not taking my bath, if you want me to show you evidence, I will show you if you doubt all I am saying; I have not taking my bath since 2001 till this moment."

Missing plane went down in Southern Indian Ocean - Malaysian PM

Malaysian Prime Minister during a press conference about an hour ago said they believe they have located the plane the whole world has been searching for in the last 16 days. Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 ended deep in the southern Indian Ocean, west of Australia, Prime Minister Najib Razak said today, citing a new analysis of satellite data by a British satellite company and accident investigators. The Prime Minister said all lives were lost and relatives of passengers and crew have been informed of the 'heartbreaking' news. Some families of the passengers on the missing plane are now due to be booked on to flights to take them to Australia, where the plane is believed to have ended up. How did a plane going from Malaysia to China end up in the Southern Indian Ocean?

Primate Ayodele's prophecies for D'banj, Davido, Okonjo-Iweala

Anyway, Primate Ayodele, the head of Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, (pictured right) whose predictions are said to always come to past, recently shared his prophecies for 2014 and mentioned Davido and D'banj. About Davido, he said the singer needs to be a bit more careful and increase security around himself and his crew as a kidnap attempt is in the offing. Once again, we forbid this. About D'banj, the prophet said he needs to be very careful or he would be defrauded over a foreign business deal. 17 killed as Boko Haram bomb market in Borno

Members of the dreaded Islamic sect yet again struck in the remote village of Nguro-Soye in Borno stateon Thursday, bombing a market place and killing 17 people in the wake of the attack. The news of the attack is just coming to light now because the sect members first destroyed all telecoms facilities in that area before embarking on their mission. Police Chief Lawan Tanko confirmed the incident to AFP "An explosion in the market in Nguro-Soye killed 17 people. The attack on Nguro-Soye, as in previous attacks, is the handiwork of Boko Haram insurgents" he said. Meanwhile the Borno State Government has ordered all schools to be shut down indefinitely until the tense situation as a result of the sect attack has been adequately addressed.

Wizkid and girlfriend Tania Omotayo have parted ways?

According to a Punchreport, Wizkid and his longtime girlfriend, Tania Omotayo have parted ways. I don't know how true this is, if I were in Nigeria, I would have been able to find out ASAP! Anyway, if it's not true, I'm sure either Wizkid or Tania will refute the story on social media. But will bring an update on this later...(like some of you care lol).. for now read the Punch report below... Before now, sensational singer, Wizkid and his pretty babe, Tania Omotayo, used to be an item. But it seems things are no longer at ease between the young couple. In fact, it looks like they have carried their ‘beef’ to the social media going by what they posted on their Instagram pages earlier in the week. Tania had posted a picture with the caption, ‘just because you love somebody so much does not mean they are the right one for you.’ Soon after, the singer posted a picture where he itemised inscriptions, ‘single, married, in a relationship, it is complicated, in the studio.’ On the list, he marked ‘in the studio.’ In other words, telling his fans that he was neither single nor married and of course, not in any relationship. For a while, there have been speculations that the couple were having problems as they have not been spotted together at events as frequently as they used to. Those who know claimed they have moved on with their lives. In fact, a source close to the couple confirmed toSaturday Beatsthat their relationship is over. The source claimed the lovebirds went their separate ways last December. Although the reason for their split is still unknown, the source was doubtful whether either of them was in a relationship. “They have split for a long time now. In fact, I think it was since December. I don’t know why they broke up and I don’t know if Wizkid is in another relationship but they are no more together,” the source said. When Saturday Beats called the singers manger, Godwin Tom, to confirm the split, he did not pick his calls neither did he reply the text message sent to him.

Boko Haram confesses before T.B Joshua, reveals failed plans to bomb the church

A member of the dreaded Boko Haram sect confessed before Pastor T.B. Joshua of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) today, revealing how their plan to bomb the popular church in Lagos was thwarted. In a broadcast beamed live via the Christian station, Emmanuel TV, late into the afternoon, Joshua announced to the congregation that a young man had a confession to make. “My name is Mustapha. I come from Yola, Adamawa State. I am a member of Boko Haram,”he began, sending the congregation into uproar.“Boko Haram is a cult. We have killed many souls,”he confessed

Probed further about the process through which he joined Boko Haram, Mustapha explained,“When I joined this cult, they wrote something with Arabic Language. After writing it, they washed it and I drunk it. That is the day I had the mind to kill souls.” Questioned by Joshua as to his intention of being in the church, the secret sect member explained it was his first time in Lagos.“We were five in number,”he continued.“We dropped at the junction opposite from the church. There was a man who used to sell something opposite the church here. He is selling sweets, soap and cigarettes. I met the man and asked him to help me keep the bag I was carrying. It contained some instruments – bombs, to destroy people.” However, Mustapha said the local trader refused to collect the bag.“We decided to sit down and eat before going on our mission here. Our plan was to take souls, to destroy at this Synagogue Church.” The Boko Haram member explained that activating the bomb was a matter of joining wires, adding that they had the ability to time the bomb.“We can set it to explode in one minute or ten minutes. We planned to set it for five minutes and immediately leave the place. All the souls will go.” However, whilst sitting down to eat with his colleagues at a restaurant opposite the popular church in Ikotun-Egbe, Mustapha recounted a strange incident. “They brought food for us and we were eating. At that place, they had television. We were watching the television and discussing. It was Emmanuel TV – I saw you (T.B. Joshua) preaching to people”. Mustapha had never been in church before and had no idea who T.B. Joshua was. “By the time you prayed and laid hands on the screen, it was like you were there with us and you joined our midst. As you laid your hands on the screen, you laid your hands on our face. That was when confusion came between us; everybody scattered,”he confessed. “Since that day, I wanted to go home but I am not fit. Any time I lie down, I will be seeing you (T.B. Joshua) in my dream. You are disturbing me. I don’t know what I did to you. The thing is bothering me too much.” Asked to explain further, Mustapha revealed,“In my dream yesterday, you told me that the group of Boko Haram would not exist again. I want to go but I don’t have the spirit to do it again. I don’t sleep in the night; I always see you. You are disturbing me. You keep praying for me and laying hands on me. I want to sleep well. I cannot close my eyes without seeing you (T.B. Joshua). Please, help me.”
